Timothy of Thessalio: Saint Kyriaki experienced true freedomtranslated

The feast of Saint Kyriaki the Great Martyr was another opportunity for spiritual edification for the faithful of our Local Church, as on Tuesday July 7th the Most Reverend Metropolitan Mr. Timotheus officiated at the liturgy and then celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Holy Church of Saint Kyriaki of the Local Community of Kypseli. During his speech, His Eminence developed the deeper theological meaning of honoring the holy martyrs of the Church, pointing out that their presence in church life is not just a historical memory, but a lasting witness to Jesus Christ. The holy martyrs, as he emphasized, present Christ to the world, confirm with their life and martyrdom the truth of the faith and become a source of inspiration for every believer, teaching that true confession is realized primarily with life.
