The Recollection of the Holy Relics of Agios Nektarios, Bishop of Pentapolis in Aegina was celebrated in the feronymous chapel of the Holy Monastery of Agios Nikolaos Ano Vathia, in the Municipality of Eretria on Thursday, September 3, 2026. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Protopresbyter Dimitrios Argyris, vicar of the Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos Ano Vathia, with the participation of the Superioress of the Holy Monastery, Blessed Nun, the monastic brotherhood and pious believers, who came to celebrate the feast.

After the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Holy Monastery offered a festive treat to the faithful.

Хорошо, что в монастыре помнят и отмечают день перенесения мощей святого Нектария. Интересно, сколько паломников обычно приходит в этот маленький храм в Эретрии? Спасибо за фото, видно, что служба прошла по-домашнему, с настоящей теплотой.

The article mentions the small chapel at the monastery in Ano Vatheia, Eretria, and I was glad to see Father Dimitrios Argyris serving with the abbess Makaria and the sisters. It really does look like a warm, family-style service from the photos. I wonder if they hold a similar gathering for St. Nektarios in the spring too.
