Sunday after the Ascension: "Christ is crucified"translated

Today's Sunday, my dear brothers, is the Sunday after the Exaltation, because it follows, follows the great despotic feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, which we celebrated just a few days ago. That is why both the gospel and the apostolic reading are related, i.e. they refer to the preceding great feast.

The gospel passage is from Mark's gospel, while the apostolic passage, with which we will deal, is from the 2nd chapter of the apostle Paul's letter to the Galatians.

In this passage the apostle comes to reveal to the Galatians that he himself experiences the event of the Lord's sacrifice on the cross. After previously proving that our justification and our salvation come from our faith in Christ and not from observing the provisions of the Mosaic Law, he then adds: "I am crucified with Christ; it is not I who live, but Christ lives in me; but now I live in the flesh, I live in the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me."
