Epigraphic Museum: August Full Moon Eventstranslated

The Epigraphic Museum participates in the events of the General Directorate of Antiquities and Cultural Heritage on the occasion of the Full Moon of August (August 28, 2026) by organizing the following actions: Time: 19:30 – 20:30: Guided tours of a small number of visitors to the areas of the permanent exhibition by Museum archaeologists.

21:00: Screening of the silent film "The General" by Buster Keaton accompanied by piano and live electronics by pianist Stathis Anninos. The music of Stathis Anninos, one of the most versatile musicians of his generation, will create an original and dynamic soundtrack, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the release of the film, which is a masterpiece of silent cinema.  It is a groundbreaking film that redefined comedy and cinema, creating a new standard of cinematic realism and technical excellence that continues to inspire today. The event will take place in the inner garden of the Epigraphic Museum.

The Museum will remain open to the public with free admission from 19:30 to 24:00.
