"...the world you did not conquer, Theotokos...": The Virgin Mary and our peopletranslated

Our Church celebrates the Ascension of the Most Holy Theotokos on the two days of August 14-15. What our people call "Easter of the Summer" is the culmination of the spiritual preparation for the faithful people to honor the person who is the sweetest thing in their lives, our Virgin Mary! After the God-man Savior and Redeemer of the world, our Lord Jesus Christ, the sweetest form for faithful Christians is the face of the Blessed Virgin Mary. With Her Metastasis she does not leave the world, but moves to the Real Life close to her Son. With her embassies and intercession, she calms the troubled waves of the souls who invoke her.
Our people and the Virgin Mary Supplications, Praises, Litanies and spiritual odes make up the liturgical life of our Church during this period. August, the preeminent month of the Virgin Mary, begins - with the first Prayer - and ends - with the feast of the Holy Belt on August 31 - with hymns to Our Lady.
This holiday, in addition to its liturgical and sacramental dimension, also takes on a strong character of the identity connection of our people with the Orthodox faith.
