Sunday Discipleship – Oligofitism on the wavestranslated

August 1, 2026 · 1 min read

Oligofitism is not something rare, when we even describe life as an ocean that is rarely calm and man struggles to float the great difficulties and problems. We see the same picture in today's Gospel passage. Peter to cower and sink in the troubled sea, but soon to invoke Christ's help and restore his trust in him. The same happens to those of us who do not look Christ in the eyes but let ourselves be carried away by the fear of unbelief, explains Apostolos Nikolaidis, Emeritus Professor of Theology at EKPA & President of the Institute Agios Maximos the Greek, in the show Sunday Discipleship.
