The chapel of Agia Marina in the Dead Zone of Deryneia celebratestranslated

The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia announces that it has again this year secured a License from the United Nations Peacekeeping Force for the operation of the chapel of Agia Marina located within the Dead Zone, next to the occupied beach of Deryneia. On Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. Vespers will be celebrated. On Friday, July 17, 2026 at 6:30 a.m. the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated and the pilgrimage will continue until 11:30 am.

The transition to the Byzantine chapel will be done by private cars and visitors are asked to comply with the instructions of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force to avoid any inconvenience, as well as with the markings for the smooth journey to Agia Marina.
