The Conference of Youth Executives of the Holy Metropolis of Demetrias was heldtranslated

On Sunday, September 27, 2026, the Inaugural Conference of Catechists and Youth Project Executives of the Holy Diocese of Dimitrias and Almyros was held at the Thessaly Conference Center, organized by the Youth Office of our Local Church, in view of the opening of the Catechetical Schools and Youth Fellowships for the new catechetical and missionary year 2026-2027. Priests, Youth Leaders, catechists from the Parishes of the Holy Metropolis participated in the Conference, with the aim of appropriate preparation, exchange of experiences and reflection on the contemporary needs and challenges of the catechetical ministry.

During the work, four thematic units were developed, which concerned key aspects of the modern catechetical work: the creation of the Christian group and community, the correct and responsible use of new technologies, the management of problems that arise within the catechetical group, as well as the essential role of the Priest as an initiator, support and companion in the work of catechesis.
