Yesterday, Thursday, August 6, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Piraeus, Mr. Seraphim, visited the Camps of the Holy Metropolis of Piraeus, in the "Piraikos Village" in Paania, Attica, in order to be close to the children, the parents, as well as the executives who ministered during the camp period, which hosted high school and high school girls. His Eminence, in his short greeting on the anniversary of the end of the camp season, addressed a paternal and spiritual speech to everyone, expressing his joy and gratitude for the valuable and great work being done.

"I think that tonight, we the elders, must listen to our children, who are the true mouth of Christ in our lives", said His Holiness initially and addressing the parents, he pointed out that the children "are eternal persons and you are the ones who, together with God, co-created this miracle".

"I congratulate you. Thank you. I wish you to have the Grace of God" he added, thanking the leader Father Dimitrios Theocharakis and his Elder Angeliki, "their collaborators, team leaders, community leaders and all the actors of the work of our Metropolis".

How nice that the Metropolitan said about children, that they are eternal persons and that we parents together with God co-create them. It reminded me of my own two at school, how carefully we have to talk to them. We thank Father Dimitrios and Angeliki for all this work in Piraikos Village.
