Argyrokastro Nathanael: Through the Cross death became lifetranslated

Today, Sunday before the Exaltation of the Holy and Life-giving Cross, in the Holy Church of Agios Charalambos in Agios Saranta, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated with splendor, presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Argyrokastro Mr. Nathanael, with the participation of the holy clergy and the faithful of the city. During his sermon, His Holiness emphasized that the Cross is the glory of the Church and the strength of the believer. Through the Cross, Christ changed death into life and passion into glory.

Therefore, as we approach the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy and Life-giving Cross, the Church calls us not to fear the cross of life, but to lift it with faith, patience and hope, having as our model our Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
