The First Meeting of Little Orthodox in Romania will gather around 200 children in Hargiatranslated

The Roman and Bacau Archdiocese will organize the Meeting of Young Orthodox Children on September 2, 2026 at the Hârja Socio-Medical and Educational Services Complex, where approximately 200 children are expected. Participants come from Centers of the Archdiocese and will be expected to benefit from a day dedicated to prayer, fellowship, Christian education and the joy of being together.
The program will begin with the Divine Liturgy, which will be celebrated by the Most Holy Bishop of Trotousanou, Mr. Theofilos, Assistant Bishop of the Archdiocese of Roman and Bakau with priests of the Diocese.
The central theme of the meeting is the 16 Holy Women canonized by the Romanian Orthodox Church. The children's meetings will deal with patterns of faith, courage, family, generosity and spiritual life, in an interactive format adapted to the age of the participants.
This will be followed by the awards ceremony, the distribution of school bags and teaching materials, as well as a series of workshops dedicated to children.
