The message of Metropolitan Lagadas for the feast of the Assumption of the Virgintranslated

"The Theotokos, who slept in embassies, and hope, whose protections did not change, grave and death did not hold", with these words the Reverend Metropolitan of Lagadas, Letis and Rentini, Mr. Platon, begins his message and wishes "that this great feast of Theotokos will not remain a simple religious tradition or an opportunity for summer rest. Let it become an occasion for a substantial return to Christ, participation in the sacramental life of the Church, repentance, forgiveness and practical love for one's neighbor". The Circular of the Metropolitan of Lagadas, Litis and Rentini:

"Hope, the grave and death, did not preserve the Theotokos, who was asleep in embassies and whose protection was unchangeable"

Beloved children of ours in the Lord,

With feelings of spiritual joy and deep gratitude to the All-Good God, we celebrate again this year the Pentecost Assumption of the Most Holy Theotokos, Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ and Mother of the entire human race. Today, the Church does not mourn a death, but celebrates the transition of the Lady Theotokos to eternal life, because She, who was the living Ark of God, moved to Her Son and God, remaining a constant protector,...
