Anthimos of Alexandroupolis on the occasion of the TIF: "Demographics leads to desertification - We do not need exhibitions of political ideas"translated

"At this year's TIF, we do not need exhibitions of political ideas with unbridled gratuity and trivial stipends and with the emetic method of Parliamentary parallel monologues" underlines in an article by Rev. Metropolitan of Alexandroupolis Mr. Anthimos.  His Eminence is concerned and expresses his anxiety and questions about the situation in Northern Greece, pointing out that "demographics lead to desertification. The villages, with every population frozen, no longer supply blood to our provincial cities. Where we live, the surprise of Balkan and Turkish tourists, even if only for the summer season. We provide them with "land and water", "seeing" that they will quickly request a vote for their participation in the commons".

Metropolitan Mr. Anthimos emphasizes that the people of northern Greece do not expect solutions, but an understanding of the problem for which, as he notes, former and current politicians of northern Greece are criminally responsible).
