Solemn Vespers of the Transfiguration of the Savior in Arkalochoritranslated

On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, the eve of the great Despotic Feast of the Divine Transfiguration of the Savior, the Great Solemn Vespers was celebrated in the Holy Church of Agios Nektarios, which temporarily serves the worship needs of the celebrating Holy Cathedral of Arkalochori.

The Holy Mass was officiated by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Arkalochori, Kastelli and Viannos, Mr. Andreas.

The ministry of the word was undertaken by Panosiol. Chief Epifanios Zacharakis, who referred to the deep theological content of the Feast of the Transfiguration, highlighting the spiritual messages and its importance for the lives of believers.

This was followed by the procession of the Holy Icon through the central streets of the city, with the widespread participation of the faithful, who came with reverence to celebrate the great Despotic holiday.

Afterwards, the blessing of the breads took place, while, before the dismissal, our Reverend Pastor Mr. Andreas wished the eternal Light of the Divine Transfiguration to illuminate the lives, families and the path of all believers.
