Archbishop: "Let's ask the Virgin Mary to love more and judge less"translated

"Let us ask the Virgin Mary to teach us to put more Christ in our lives", the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, Mr. Ieronymos, invited the faithful from the Holy Sanctuary of the Transfiguration of the Savior - Saint Porphyrios in Milesi, Attica, where the Divine Liturgy was celebrated this morning for the great feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. The sacrament of the Holy Eucharist was performed by the priestly head of the Holy Sanctuary, General Hierarchal Commissioner of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, Protopresbyter Emmanuel Papamikroulis.

In his sermon, His Beatitude referred to the message of the Assumption of the Virgin, underlining that the Virgin Mary, through pain and trial, teaches us to trust God more and to face fear with faith and hope.

"Today we do not celebrate the end of a life, but the manifestation of the victory of life over death. She who accepted Christ in Her, Life itself, is today moving towards Life.
