Seraphim of Piraeus: Pseudo-Angelology and "Angel Therapy" in the Light of Orthodox Theologytranslated

PSEUDO-ANGELOLOGY AND "ANGELOTHERAPY" UNDER THE LIGHT OF ORTHODOX THEOLOGY (Theological Approach and Pastoral Dealing with a Newfound Error) is the subject on which the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Piraeus Mr. Seraphim informs in the following video, in which the origin, content and spiritual ramifications of so-called "Angelotherapy" and related occult concepts.

His Eminence, first referring to the term "Occultism" which in modern times presents itself in various forms, points out that modern "Pseudo-Angelology", which draws elements from Kabbalah, Theosophy, Esotericism and the New Age movement, distorts the teaching of the Orthodox Church about Holy Angels.

"This so-called 'new religion of angels' posits various supernatural entities as spirit guides, healers and mediators between the visible and invisible worlds. Despite the use of names of well-known Archangels, such as Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, these concepts have nothing to do with the orthodox teaching about the Holy Angels, who are created spiritual beings, liturgical spirits...
