With due ecclesiastical splendor, the commemoration of the Divine Transfiguration of our Lord Jesus Christ is liturgically celebrated in the Holy Metropolis of Serres and Nigritis. On the eve of the great Despotic holiday, Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in the afternoon, the great solemn Vespers was celebrated in the celebrating Holy Chapel of the Divine Transfiguration of the Savior and 12 Apostles of Serres, officiated by Rev.
