Sparta: Sanctification and paternal wishes for the new school yeartranslated

With expectations for a constructive year, on Friday September 11, 2026, the schools of our country opened their doors to welcome students of all levels of education. In Sparta, His Eminence Metropolitan Mr. Efstathios initially performed the Consecration in the courtyard of the school complex of the 2nd Gymnasium and 2nd Lyceum of Sparta.

In his speech, the Reverend Pastor Mr. Efstathios referred to the value of proper Education, especially in our days when social demands and challenges are many times greater than in the past, while he pointed out the need for the teachings of our Orthodox Faith to be the main signpost. Concluding his fatherly speech, he wished the children to have a blessed year with health, physical and spiritual, and joy. At the same time, he wished the teachers to have God's enlightenment, strength and patience, so that they can successfully carry out their crucial task.
