The Metropolitan of Rethymno in the Holy Monastery of Agia Anastasia of Rometranslated

The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Rethymno and Avlopotamos, Mr. Prodromos officiated during Orthros and celebrated the High Priestly Divine Liturgy on the morning of Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the Holy Monastery of Agia Anastasia in Roman Rethymno. His Holiness was flanked by its Professor, Panosiol. Archimandrite Vasilios Papadakis. During the Divine Liturgy, the Holy Memorials of the blessed young Christian, as well as of his grandfather Rizos, were held, with the participation of their family members and a large number of people.

His Holiness, in his homily, referred to the great Despotic feast of the Transfiguration of Christ the Savior as well as the upcoming Theotokos Feast of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
