According to a public complaint by the Local Church, two persons of Albanian nationality placed flags of the KLA and the Republic of Albania on the fence of the gate of the Orthodox church in Liplian. Specifically, it is the medieval church of the Entrances of the Most Holy Theotokos of the 14th century and the church of the Holy Martyrs Flora and Lavra.
According to the information provided by the Raska Diocese, on the evening of August 10, 2026, members of the Kosovo Police, patrolling in the center of the city of Liplian, spotted two perpetrators raising flags, arrested them and then removed the flags from the church fence. "Despite the reaction of the police, the real attitude of the institutions towards this act will be seen in the further proceedings, in its legal characterization and in the readiness of the prosecution and the court to establish the motives and responsibility of the perpetrators", it is emphasized in the announcement - complaint.
