Consecration of the First Camp Period in I.M. Corfutranslated

On the evening of Thursday, July 2, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Corfu, Paxos and the Diapontian Islands, Mr. Nektarios, went to the camps of the Holy Metropolis in Kassiopi, North Corfu, where he performed the Consecration for the start of the first camp season, which hosts elementary school boys, while he had the opportunity to talk with them, such as and with the camp staff.

This year's camping year is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary and bears the general title "Pantanassa", on the occasion of the completion of 1,400 years since the chanting of the Akathist Hymn in Constantinople, an event that sealed the motherly piety of the Orthodox Church.

The leader of the first camp season is the Preacher of the Holy Metropolis, Archimandrite Dositheos Papamitros, with the cooperation of the experienced teachers Ms. Vassiliki Monastriotis and Mr. Nikolaos Koskinas, while the deputy leaders are Mr. Konstantinos Gisdakis and Mr. Spyridon Vassiliadis, flanked by numerous executives and volunteers.
