Poor for proclamation Patriarch of Alexandria: "A special moment for Mani and the entire Peloponnese"translated

The events in honor of the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa Theodore II, in Eastern Mani, were attended on Tuesday, September 8 by the Regional Governor of Peloponnese Dimitris Ptochos, with the program culminating in the afternoon in the Areopolis with the ceremony of declaring the Patriarch an Honorary Citizen of Eastern Mani. The day began at the Holy Monastery of Panagia Yatrissa Taygetou, where the Orthros and the Solemn Patriarchal Divine Liturgy were celebrated, while the procession of the Holy Icon followed.
The Regional Governor of Peloponnese, accompanied by Vice-Regional Governors and Regional Councilors, participated in the liturgical events, as part of the visit of the Patriarch of Alexandria to Mani, which was a special moment for the local Church and the region.
In the afternoon, at the Areopolis Indoor Gymnasium, the official ceremony of declaring the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa, Theodore II, an Honorary Citizen of Eastern Mani, was held, by decision of the Municipality and the Municipal Council.
