Procession of the Holy Cross in Kiveri Argolistranslated

The feast of the Universal Exaltation of the Precious Cross was celebrated at the Holy Church of Dormition of the Theotokos in Kiveri, Argolis, which preserves a fragment of the Precious Wood and the faithful copy of the Cross of Emperor Constantine the Great, from the I.M.M. Batopilas Saint Orosius. In the evening, after the conclusion of the Morning Prayer service, the Holy Cross was processed with the Holy Wood, and subsequently the Divine Liturgy was completed.

Father Peter Athanassopoulos offered timely reflections on the feast of the Exaltation of the Cross, emphasizing the significance of Christ's crucifixion upon the precious wood that became holy because it bore the true God and Redeemer of the human race.
