P. Pavlopoulos: Adjustment of K. Mitsotakis to the permanent position regarding one, and only, difference with Turkeytranslated

Prokopis Pavlopoulos, consistently and especially after assuming his duties as President of the Republic, maintained - and always maintains - that there is one, and only one, outstanding dispute with Turkey. And specifically "the delimitation of the island continental shelf and the corresponding EEZ in the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean", according to the data of the UN Law of the Sea and after an appeal to the International Court of Justice in The Hague. It is also worth remembering that initially, i.e. after assuming his duties as Prime Minister in 2019, Kyriakos Mitsotakis - and demonstrably contrary to Prokopis Pavlopoulos - spoke of "differences", thus referring to the phraseology of the Kostas Simitis era during the "mill of memory" precedents of Madrid (NATO) and Helsinki (European Council), in 1997 and 1999 respectively.

Today - for about three years now, from 2023 onwards - Kyriakos Mitsotakis is speaking, since then and after the fierce reactions against him, and he according to the Pavlopoulos model "for one and only difference with Turkey, the demarcation of the EEZ and the Ice Shelf". Something he repeated yesterday in front of the UN General Assembly.
