With splendor the city of Komotini honored its patron Saint Paraskevi. On the main day of the feast, Sunday July 26, 2026, the Orthros was held, which was officiated by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Messinia, Mr. Chrysostomos, and then the Polyhierarchical Divine Liturgy, presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Xanthi and Peritherio, Mr. Panteleimon, and with the participation of Rev. Metropolitan of Messinia Mr. Chrysostomos, of Theof. Bishop of Talanti, Mr. Theologian and the Pastor, Metropolitan of Maroneia and Komotini, Mr. Panteleimonos.

The Divine Word was preached by Rev. Metropolitan of Xanthi and Peritherio, Mr. Panteleimon, who in his speech referred to the life and martyrdom of Saint Paraskevi, highlighting her faith, love and patience, as a model for modern man.

Together, the people of Komotini paid the due honor and respect to the Patron Saint of Agia Paraskevi, may she be an ambassador and beacon of faith for all of us.
