The feast of the Holy Monastery of Agios Panteleimonos Chrysokastro Pangaiostranslated

With religious fervor and with the influx of hundreds of pious pilgrims, the holy memory of the Holy Glorious Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon was celebrated, according to the saintly tradition, in the eponymous Holy Monastery of Chrysokastro Pangai of the Holy Metropolis of Eleftheroupolis. On Saturday, July 25, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Eleftheroupolis, Mr. Chrysostomos, after the fraternity of the Holy Monastery, welcomed the fragment of the Holy Chariot of the Holy Great Martyr Panteleimon, which was transferred from the Holy Monastery of St. Paul of Mount Athos under the Hosiological Elder Nikodimos Agiopaulitos, for blessing and sanctification of the faithful people.

On the eve of the feast, Sunday July 26, 2026, the Solemn Vespers was held, presided over by the Theophilist Bishop of Tanagra, Mr. Apostolos, invited by His Eminence Metropolitan Mr. Chrysostomos, who concelebrated the service, with the participation of Priests of our Holy Metropolis. After the end of the service, a monastic table was laid, according to the standard of the Holy Monastery.

Marek SzymańskiInterestingly, the relics were brought from Athos from the monastery of St. Paul. I always liked Saint. Panteleimon, because as a nurse I feel close to him. It's good that so many people came, our church is always crowded on his feast day.
