Sanctification at the Greek School of Stockholmtranslated

On Saturday, September 12, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Sweden and all Scandinavia, Mr. Kleopas, accompanied by the Theophilus Bishop of Elia, Mr. Bartholomew, performed the customary Consecration at the beginning of the classes of the Greek School of Stockholm, which is housed in the premises of the Sjölins Gymnasium. The Greek School of Stockholm began its operation in 1967 and, for about six decades, has been carrying out a very important educational and cultural work, offering the children of the Greek Community the opportunity to learn the Greek language, history and traditions of our homeland. During the current school year, the School has approximately 300 students.
The Consecration Ceremony was attended by the former President of the Stockholm Greek School, Mr. George Konstantinou, members of the Board of Directors, teachers, parents and students of the School.
After the end of the Consecration, His Holiness addressed fatherly words to the children and, using the image of a tree, urged them to always keep alive their relationship with their spiritual and cultural roots:
