Sunday of Tyrini - 9-day Memorial of Mr. Amfilochiostranslated

On Sunday of Tyrini (February 22, 2026) our Most Reverend Metropolitan celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Catholic Church of the holy Monastery of Taxiarchos Michael Tharriou and presided over the 9-day Memorial of the blessed Metropolitan Fr. Ganos and Choras of Mr. Amfilochios. The Most Holy Bishop of Olympus Mr. Kyrillos officiated at Orthros and presided over the Divine Liturgy at the parish church of Agios Nikolaos Paradisiou. In the evening, with the participation of Saint Olympos the Theophilus, the holy Clergy of the city of Rhodes and the large attendance of the faithful, the First Vespers of Holy and Great Lent (Vespers of Forgiveness-Apology) took place in the Metropolitan Church of the Entry of the Virgin Mary, officiated by the parathrone of our Venerable Metropolitan. The Catechetic Sermon of His Holiness, our Ecumenical Patriarch Mr. Bartholomew, was read from the pulpit by the Panosiologiatos Protosygellos Fr. Theonas, and at the end of the reading the Polychronio Hers was chanted. Before the "Two Wishes", the Forgiveness Wish was read by His Holiness, followed by the custom of forgiveness.
