PtD and Archbishop at the event "In one spirit" for the Holy Monastery of Xenophontranslated

In the presence of the President of the Republic, Mr. Konstantinos Tassoulas, and the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, Mr. Ieronymos, the event "In one spirit" took place on Monday afternoon, on the occasion of the completion of fifty years since the establishment of the current Brotherhood of the Holy Monastery of Xenophon on Mount Athos and the assumption of the abbotship by Archimandrite Alexios. The event took place in the "Alexandra Trianti" Hall of the Athens Concert Hall. Also present were the Metropolitan of Chalkidon, Mr. Emmanuel, representative of the Ecumenical Patriarch, Mr. Bartholomew, as well as the Deputy Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, Mr. Nikos Papaioannou, representing the Prime Minister, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

The event was also attended by dozens of High Priests, the Governor and Deputy Governor of Mount Athos, ministers, politicians, clergy and laity.

The PtD referred to the completion of 50 years since the establishment of the current brotherhood of the Holy Monastery of Xenophon on Mount Athos and the assumption of the abbotship by Elder Alexios, underlining the timeless importance of Mount Athos as a spiritual beacon and custodian of the Orthodox and cultural tradition.
