The two-day celebration of the Assumption of the Virgin in "Kefali" Kalamos, Lefkadatranslated

With God, the two-day devotional events on the Theodoric feast of the Dormition and Ascension of the Most Holy Theotokos took place again this year at the Holy Church of Saints Anargyros Cosmas and Damianos and Panagia in the "Kefali" area of the island of Kalamos (Cape Porto Leone). On the evening of Friday, August 14, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., the Solemn Vespers was chanted after the liturgy and divine sermon, under the High Priestly Commissioner of Lefkada, Kalamos and Kastos and vicar of the Holy Parish Church of Agia Triad Kalamos, Panosiology Archimandrite Father Spyridon Bouris.

On the morning of Saturday, August 15, the day of the Feast of the Dormition and Ascension of the Most Holy Theotokos, the Orthros was first chanted and then the Solemn Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was celebrated with the liturgy, officiated by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Lefkada and Ithaca Mr. Theophilos flanked under Fr. Spyridon Bouris and the reverend deacon Fr. Vassiliou Magganakis.
