Patras: Magnificent Litany of the Holy Cara of the Apostle Andrewtranslated

On the afternoon of Sunday, September 27, 2026, the brilliant liturgical Events culminated in the completion of 62 years since the Recollection of the Holy Cara of the Apostle Andrew in Patras (September 26, 1964). The Holy Litany of the Holy Cara and the Holy Icon of Protocletos, started from the majestic Church of the Apostle Andrew with the participation of a large number of believers, heading to Ichthyoskala of Patras, where the established Consecration was performed, at the beginning of the new fishing season.

Afterwards, Saint Kara, accompanied by the Reverend High Priests and Priests, arrived by sea with a fishing boat at the pier of Agios Nikolaos, where they met the litanic procession that arrived at the same place by land, with the Icon of the Apostle Andrew. This great procession was presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Patras with the participation of the Holy Clergy and Representatives of Authorities and Agencies and a large number of People.

In the Square of the Three Allies, where in 1964, the reception of the Holy Chariot of Protocletos took place, a Doxology was performed, in the presence of the Authorities and thousands of pious Christians.
