The Sunday Apostolic Reading of the 14th Epistlestranslated

Apostolic Reading for Sunday, September 6, 2026, Sunday of the 14th Epistles (2 Cor. 1:21 – 2:4) 21 God who confirms us with you in Christ and anointed us, 22 who also seals us and sees the betrothal of the Spirit in our hearts. 23 But I, the witness of God, plead with my soul, that I did not come to Corinth to spare you. 24 Not because we dominate you in the faith, but we are partners in your joy, for in the faith you stood.

Thank you for this text. I was especially struck by the part with Paul's tears when he wrote - "out of much distress and anguish of heart, with many tears" - to show them his love, not to make them sad.
