Solemn celebration of Saint Kyprian in the chapel of the Stavride Foundationtranslated

With ecclesiastical splendor and the participation of a large number of believers, the memory of the Holy Hieromartyr Cyprian and the Holy Martyr Iustina was celebrated again this year in the Holy Metropolis of Alexandroupolis, on October 2, 2026. The center of the celebration, as every year, was the chapel of the same name, which is located in the separate courtyard area of the hill, where the Stavrideion operates Ecclesiastical Foundation of the Chronically Suffering "Saint Cyprian" of the Holy Metropolis of Alexandroupolis.

On Thursday, October 1, 2026, the eve of the feast, the Great High Priestly Vespers service of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Alexandroupolis Mr. Anthimos was held. A multitude of believers from Alexandroupoli and more widely from Evros and Thrace came to the Foundation to worship and receive the blessing of the honored Saints. The ambulatory inmates of the Foundation, as well as members of the medical, nursing and administrative staff, also participated in the procession.
