Visit of the Bishop of Jintzas to the Holy Diocese of Larissatranslated

With feelings of spiritual joy, the Most Holy Bishop of Jinja and Eastern Uganda Mr. Silvestros visited the Holy Metropolis of Larissa and Tyrnavos, highlighting the strong ties of the local Church with the Foreign Mission. At the soon-to-be-established Holy Monastery of All Saints on Sunday morning after the Elevation of the Holy Cross, His Holiness presided over the Divine Liturgy. The place was flooded from early in the morning by a crowd of believers and friends of the mission.

In his sermon, the Most Reverend Bishop of Jindza and Eastern Uganda, Mr. Silvestros, expressed his warm thanks both to the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Larissa and Tyrnavos, Mr. Ieronymos, for his blessing and tireless interest, and to the abbot of the Monastery, Fr. Dorotheos, for his exemplary hospitality. He made special mention of the "village of the Larisaeans", a model missionary center that has been created in the heart of the African jungle.
