Visit of Academician Christophoros Charalambakis to the Metropolitan of Ierapytni and Sitiatranslated

Rev. Metropolitan of Ierapytni and Sitia Mr. Kyrillo was visited on Friday, September 18, 2026 by Mr. Christoforos Charalambakis, Regular Member of the Academy of Athens, Emeritus Professor of Linguistics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, President of the Foundation of the Rizarei Ecclesiastical School and Member of the Board. of the "Greek Language Center". The native of Anatolia Ierapetra, Mr. Charalambakis, in view of his departure for his headquarters in Athens, asked for His Eminence's wishes for the new ecclesiastical and academic year. During their cordial meeting, various issues of common interest were also discussed.

Our fellow academic and university teacher offered Rev. Metropolitan Mr. Kyrillos publications of the Rizarios Foundation, while His Eminence presented him with publications of the Holy Metropolis. At the same time, he wholeheartedly wished the Triune God to grant him stable health, inexhaustible strength, inspiration and illumination, so that he could continue his great research work in the field of Linguistics, as well as his multidimensional contribution to letters and culture.
