Visit of the President of the Hellenic Republic to the Metropolitanate of Arkalochoritranslated

On September 13, 2026, in the afternoon, His Excellency the President of the Hellenic Republic Mr. Konstantinos Tzavelas visited the Hierarchical Metropolitanate of Arkalochori following his presence at the commemoration events for the Holocaust of Viannos. The Most Reverend Metropolitan received His Excellency the President, along with Mayor Minos Pediadis, Basil Kengeroglou, Deputy Mayors, and clergy. The Most Reverend Pastor guided His Excellency the President to the Cultural Center, the Center of Solidarity, and the Social Clinic-Hospital, informing him about the social and philanthropic work as well as other activities carried out.

The President expressed his appreciation for the contribution of the local Church and congratulated the Most Venerable and his colleagues in the Hierarchical Metropolitanate for their important support work to our fellow citizens.

In conclusion, the Most Venerable offered His Excellency the President a painting of the Virgin and a commemorative candle for the twenty-fifth anniversary of the establishment of the Metropolitanate (2001-2026).
