On the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, the Diaconate Ordination was celebrated at the Monastery of Dovra.translated

On Monday, September 14, during the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, the Very Reverend Metropolitan of Veria, Naoussis, and Kavania, V. Pantailimon, celebrated Divine Liturgy and preached a holy sermon in the Holy Church of Saint Luke, Archbishop of Symferopoleios the Healer, at the Holy Monastery of Panagia Dovra of Veria.

During the divine liturgy, the Very Reverend completed the diaconal ordination of Mr. Panagiotis Dim Greek, a graduate of the Agricultural School of Volos and a student of the Theological School of A.Π.Θ., from the heroic city of Naoussa.

Later, at the end of Vespers, the established service of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was performed, and the faithful had the opportunity to venerate a piece of the Precious Wood of the True Cross, along with Holy Veils of Saints Constantine and Helen, and Precious Stones from the Frightful Golgotha and the Holy Sepulchre.

In the evening, there will be an Archpriest Evening Prayer and Blessing of the Holy Cross. The Holy Church of Saint Luke will remain open today until 8:30 PM so that the faithful can venerate the Precious Cross.
