The Holy Metropolis of Arkalochori honors mothers with many childrentranslated

The Holy Diocese of Arkalochori, Kastelli and Viannos organizes an honorary event for the awarding of mothers of many children in Thrapsanos and the wider region on Sunday, September 27, 2026. The event will take place after the end of the High Priestly Liturgy, at around 10:00 am, in the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agios Andreas in Arkalochori, on the occasion of the feast of Our Lady of Gorgoipikou, which is celebrated by the chapel of the Holy Metropolitan Church.

As mentioned in the invitation of the Venerable Metropolitan of Arkalochori, Kastelli and Viannos, Mr. Andreas, this honorable initiative highlights the contribution of mothers with many children and sends a message about the issue of demographic decline, both in Western European countries and in Greece.
