The start of the Maritime Week 2026 in Alexandroupolitranslated

On Sunday, July 5, 2026, the official opening of the Maritime Week 2026 took place in Alexandroupoli, with particular splendor and the participation of a large number of citizens. As part of the events, a Trisay was held in favor of all those drowned at sea, sailors, fishermen, professionals and amateurs, by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Alexandroupoli, Mr. Anthimos.

After the end of the Trisagio, the attendees visited: The exhibition hosted in the building of the Scouts as well as the exhibition entitled "Blue Routes", which is housed in the former building of the Bank of Greece.

In the events of the Maritime Week, the holding of table tennis matches is also scheduled, with the Most Reverend Metropolitan Mr. Anthimos not letting the opportunity go unexploited and grabbing the racket against the Mayor Mr. Zaboukis, he remembered his young years, showing special ability even today, in a quite demanding sport. It was a moment of relaxation and reminiscence for our Pastor.
