Announcement of the Metropolis of Argolis on the excommunication of Elder Evangelos Mastorikostranslated

The Holy Metropolis of Argolis announces with sorrow the excommunication of the late Presbyter Evangelos Mastorikos of the I. Church of Agios Dimitrios Poulakidas. Reverend Elder Evangelos Mastorikos was born in Argos Argolis in 1959.

He attended the circular letters in his hometown and in 2005 he graduated from the Ecclesiastical High School of Corinth.

He married Eleni Xoulei and they had four children.

He was ordained a Deacon on March 4, 2007 in the Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos Argos and a Presbyter on April 1, 2007 in the Holy Church of Agios Petros Argos by the blessed Metropolitan of Argolis Sir Iakovos II.

From April 2nd, 2007 to May 2nd, 2008, he served as temporary vicar of the I. Church of Agia Triado Sterna.

On May 2nd, 2008 he was appointed regular vicar of the I. Church of Agios Dimitrios Poulakids where he ministered until his death.

The deceased was a modest Clergyman, and ministered with conscientiousness, consistency and obedience to the Church.

The Exodious Procession will be chanted on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 6 pm in the Church of Agios Dimitrios Poulakidas.
