Karditsa commemorates the eight Saints connected with the local historytranslated

With particular splendor and the participation of a large number of believers, Karditsa honors during this year's festive two days (September 19 – 20, 2026) the memory of the eight Saints connected with the local ecclesiastical history and tradition. These are Saint Seraphim, Saint Arsenios, Saint Parthenios, Saint Nicholas of Vunenois, Saint Damianos, Saint Constantine of Agarinone, Saint Dionysios of Olympus and Saint Akakios of Kausokalyvitis.

The Holy Metropolis of Thessaliotidos and Fanariofersalon dedicates to their memory the first Sunday after the Elevation of the Holy Cross, honoring the Saints who were connected to the wider region and are a valuable spiritual legacy for the local Church and the faithful.

This year's liturgical events began on the afternoon of Saturday, September 19, with the official reception of the holy relics at the entrance to the courtyard of the Holy Metropolitan Church of Saints Constantine and Helen Karditsis, in the presence of a large number of believers and clergy.

This was followed by the entry of the holy Relics into the Holy Church, where they were placed for worship by the faithful.
