What a joy to see that the church of Saint Nicholas in Ziros is now restored, with its medieval frescoes clean again. I was struck by the work of the conservative Emmanuel Achladianakis, who clearly did it with real love. I hope I can go one day to see the result and pray there.

I'm glad they cleaned those old frescoes in the nave, it can be seen that Mr. Emmanuel Achladianakis really put his soul into it. Father George Fytrolakis, our old retired priest, also deserves a thank you for keeping it all alive for so many years. I'll try to get to Ziros next summer, see for myself what it looks like now.

I'm glad for this church in Ziros, especially that the frescoes have finally been properly cleaned. Emmanuel Akhladianakis is great, it’s clear that he didn’t just serve his time, but really invested in it. I wonder when it will be possible to calmly come there and see if it’s better on a holiday?

I liked hearing how Mr. Emmanuel Achladianakis worked so hard cleaning those old frescoes; you can tell he really cared. Father George Fytrolakis keeping the place going all those years as the retired priest deserves a thank you too. Maybe next spring when the birds are back I’ll try to visit Ziros and see it quiet, not on a feast day.
