On Friday, August 7, in the evening, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Berea, Naoussa and Campania, Mr. Panteleimon, went to the Holy Church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary in the local community of Agios Georgios Dovras, Berea, where he officiated at Vespers of the feast of St. Kallinikos, Bishop of Edessa and at the Little Prayer of the Most Holy Theotokos and preached the divine word.

Yesterday we celebrated the great despotic feast of the Transfiguration of our Lord and we also mentally became, together with the disciples of Christ, spectators of the transfigured Lord, of our Lord who did not change his form, but allowed the three pre-eminent disciples to see, if only for a little while, the light and the radiance of his Divinity, of what he always had. Because light is characteristic of the divine nature, that is why Christ proclaimed that "I am the light of the world". Thank you for the report. I really like this fragment about "the light that is so blinding that a person cannot see it with eyes made of dust" - I immediately remembered how last year in Tabor in the mountains I felt that even ordinary sunlight was overwhelming. I wonder if the Metropolitan mentioned anything more about it in his sermon.
