Reception of the Sacred Relic of St. Anne the Theotokos in the Diocese of Limassoltranslated

On Wednesday, September 16, 20026, the official reception of the Holy Relic of Saint Theopromitor Anne took place in the Metropolitan Church of Panagia Pantanassi (Catholic). The Holy Relic, a precious relic of the Holy Monastery of Koutloumoussi on Mount Athos, was brought to Cyprus by the fathers of the Holy Monastery and was received by the Theophilous Bishop Amathoustos Mr. Nikolaos, the holy clergy and a multitude of believers. After the reception of the Holy Relic, an invocation was recited. Subsequently, the Most Holy Bishop Amathoustos addressed the fathers of the Holy Monastery of Koutloumousiou, while Fr. Porphyrios Koutloumousiotis objected on behalf of the brotherhood. Then a Solemn Vigil was held in the Holy Metropolitan Church.

The Sacred Relic of Saint Anne the Theopromitor will remain in the Church for worship by the faithful until September 25 and will leave after the Solemn Vigil on Friday.
