The second day at the Spiritual Center right next to St. Nicholas Church sounds like a good practical choice. Fires and floods hit hard here too, so I’m glad they spent time on both prevention and rebuilding. I’d like to know what Metropolitan Symeon actually said in his opening about moving from disaster to recovery.

The location next to St. Nicholas makes sense; we’ve used our own parish hall for similar talks after the ice storm here a couple years back. I agree the prevention side matters most. Metropolitan Symeon usually starts with concrete examples from his diocese, like how they cleared riverbeds after the last big flood, so I’d guess he tied that straight into recovery steps.
