The Most Reverend Archbishop of Thyatira and Great Britain, Mr. Nikitas, was appointed as Patriarchal Representative by His Holiness Panagiotis, the Ecumenical Patriarch, Mr. Bartholomew, in order to be present in his person during the Enthronement Procession of the new Archbishop of Canada, Mr. Apostolos. It is recalled that, by the Holy and Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, on July 22, 2026, the Most Reverend Archbishop Mr. Apostolos, who until recently was the presiding officer of the Holy Diocese of New Jersey, was unanimously elected.
The Holy Mass will be celebrated in the I. Cathedral of St. Nicholas, in Toronto, Ontario, on the morning of Saturday, September 19, 2026.
The Most Reverend Archbishop Mr. Nikitas, traveling for this historic ecclesiastical event, will be accompanied by the Reverend Elder Mr. Pavlos Lambrou and the Hierological Archdeacon Mr. Georgios Tsourous.
