Metropolitan of Veria: "Saint Luke had great love for the Blessed Virgin Mary"translated

On the afternoon of Tuesday, August 11, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Berea, Naoussa and Campania Mr. Panteleimon officiated at Vespers and the Great Prayer of the Blessed Virgin Mary and preached the divine word in the Holy Church of Saint Luke the Physician, in the Holy Monastery of Panagia Dobra Berioa. At the end of the service, His Holiness, as every Tuesday evening during the celebration of the Prayer of Saint Luke the Physician, read the relative wish, while a large number of pilgrims came to venerate the graceful holy relic of the miraculous Saint, which is treasured in the Holy Monastery.

The Most Reverend Metropolitan, while preaching the divine word, mentioned among other things: "Blessed is the womb and the womb, and the breasts, those who nursed."

This beatitude of an unknown woman who watched Christ speak to Martha, as we heard a little while ago in the gospel reading, was saved by the holy evangelist Luke, who, as we know from tradition, had a special connection with our Virgin Mary, even he is the one to whom we owe some of the miraculous icons of the Most Holy Theotokos.
