Kyrillos of Ierapytnis: "Let us pray to God to heal everything that needs healing"translated

On the Sunday of Matthew I, August 9, 2026, His Eminence the Metropolitan of Ierapytni and Sitia Mr. Kyrillos officiated during the Mass of Orthros, blessed the offered breads and then officiated and preached the divine word at the Holy Parish Church of the Annunciation of the Theotokos in the city of Sitia. In his short sermon, immediately after the reading of the Holy Gospel, His Holiness referred in an understandable way to the messages of the Gospel passage of the healing of the demon-possessed youth. He noted that this healing proves the indisputable authority of our Lord Jesus Christ over demonic powers, and that unbelief was the cause of His Disciples' inability to heal the tormented youth, although He had given them authority to rule over all the power of the enemy.
