Saint Michael Paknanas: The only chapel in Athens dedicated to the New Martyr of our Church (VIDEO)translated

Agios Michael Paknanas was born in Athens and lived in the district of Vlassaros, below the Acropolis. He refused to convert to Mohammedanism and was sentenced to death by beheading by the Turks, at the Columns of Olympian Zeus. The only chapel in the entire capital city dedicated to the Saint Michael, the neomartyr, is located in the Ascension of the Lord N. Kosmos, where according to tradition the Saint's gardens were located, as the vicar of the Archimandrite Church, Father Nikodimos Kavarnos, explained to Journalist Dimitris Strumbakos.
