The French Minister for Europe at Gratsanitsa Monasterytranslated

The French Minister for Europe, Benjamin Haddad, during his stay in Kosovo and Metohija, visited the Gratsanitsa Monastery last week, where he was received by the Most Theophilous Bishop of Novo Brdo, Mr. Hilarion. During the visit, Bishop Mr. Hilarion presented to the invited dignitary the history and spiritual significance of the Gracanica Monastery, one of the most important sanctuaries of the Serbian Orthodox Church which is a bequest of King Milutin, which is included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List.
During the conversation, views were exchanged on the importance of preserving the Christian spiritual and cultural heritage in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as on the role of the Gratsanitsa Monastery as a place of prayer, meeting and testimony of the eternal presence of the Serbian Orthodox Church in this region.
